Friday Face Off: “I Sit Here Looking Out At All I Own”

And my feature for this week is…. King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence

Ahhh yes. Another book that I haven’t yet featured on here because I read it ages ago. Friday Face Off is the perfect opportunity for me to show off gems like these because I just don’t have the time to do re-reads as often as I would like. I think my favorite cover is #2 (from left) because it’s so dark and moody looking. It suits the feel of the book and Jorg and it would look cooler on my shelf than cover #1 does. Cover #3 is just okay – it feels washed out. Cover #4 is amazing though AND the sword is way frikkin cool.

AND THE WINNER IS:

I like the smug/chill pose and the corpses of his enemies beneath his feet. Also, the black/grey/red color scheme is right up my alley. And besides, look at the carvings on that throne!
