Beyond the Shadows by Brent Weeks

These books get better and better. While I wasn’t crazy about the first installment, I’ve really grown to love this series. The plot is far more interesting now that Kylar’s coming of age type story is over with and there’s some serious meat and mystery to the plot. I’ve basically been binging this at every opportunity.

 

 

Borrasca by C.K. Walker

I’ve been reading this on the internet (No Sleep subReddit) because my boyfriend LOVED it and he very rarely recommends stories of any kind. It’s creepy, but in a subtle sort of way and it’s pretty great so far! As of 9/25/16 there is apparently an audio version of the story available, which is cool. I don’t know if I’ll do an official review of Borrasca, but will if anyone requests it!
