Having just finished up Dark Forge, I felt now was the perfect time to feature Bright Steel , the conclusion to the Masters and Mages trilogy. Yes, the lucky folks in the UK have had access to this book since August, but the US edition won’t be released until December 10, 2019. This series has swept me up and hasn’t let me go and I expect the final installment will be as harrowing as the first two! I also have renewed interest in finishing up the Traitor Son Cycle to see if the two series are in fact loosely intertwined.

Considering places like TheBookDepository, I wonder why publishers even bother with releasing books months apart in various parts of the world? Makes me wonder what the thinking behind it is, or is it just a holdover from the old days of publishing?

That is a great question and I haven’t given it much consideration! I just assumed it was some weird part of a contract or something. There are so many work arounds to be able to get the books early from the UK or US that it’s sort of silly.

Oh, I”m sure it is 100% contract related. It just makes me wonder if the lawyers writing up the contracts are stupid and have no grasp on reality OR if they’re just giving the client what they’ve always given them.
Just one of those things that make you go “hmmm…” 😀
