December 2019: Old Man Winter

I came across this subscription box a few months ago and decided to wait until the December box came around because I figured it would be a pretty cool theme. I love the Old Man Winter theme and I was really excited to check out all the goodies that came with it!

First up is the pièce de résistance – the Frost King candle. First off, I like the revamped packaging on the Frostbeard candles – it’s nicer quality than the Winterfell candle I purchased several years ago. The scent is described as wintergreen and icy wind. I’ll be honest, I don’t love the scent but I am a little picky about things like candles and perfume.

Winter Witch themed bath salts (not the drug kind) were also included and I LOVE the way this smells! I really wish this was the candle scent for the month because I’d probably purchase a second to keep as a back up.

The other bits and bobs include the cute little winter gnome (totally on point with my winter decor), a ceramic ornament, a Jack Frost lip balm that smells like spearmint gum, and rock candy.

This was a fun mix of products, however this box will be a one time purchase for me. In comparison with the other, admittedly quite different, subscription boxes I’ve tried, I just don’t think this one has the same bang for your buck. I mean, the candles are $18.00 which I think is a little steep but the other items don’t quite make up for it.
