October 2020: Legends and Lore

The goods

Overall, this box left me feeling a little ‘meh’. I was quite excited about several items + the book, but the rest… not so much. That’s part of the fun of these subscription boxes though! You never know what you’ll get!

Obviously we have this lovely edition of Legendborn by Tracy Deonn which I’m quite excited about. The reviews for this book are SUPER GOOD! The pin (always inspire by the book) is definitely not one of my faves. It’s just too big and the design is a little boring, particularly coming from this pin designer.

At first I thought this thing was an oven mitt (and was really excited because I’m old and boring). But no! It’s a bowl coozie! I love it and it may be one of my favorite new kitchen items because let me tell ya, microwaved bowls get HOT. Also, a shoutout to the cute ceramic pumpkin dish I got last week.

Ahhh, the bane of my existence. Small, tinkly windchimes. This is actually a super cute thing to include in a box, though perhaps it would have been more appropriate for a spring or summer box. On the right we have a little bamboo (?) phone stand with a quote from The Star Touched Queen. I’ll most likely pass this along to someone else because I don’t really use these unless they’re also wireless chargers.

And lastly, some beauty related items for that snazzy self-care day. I’ve never had a chance to preach the merits of glass nail files on here before, but I’ll keep it short and just say they’re the best $8 you’ll ever spend. This one is going straight to my desk at work. There’s also this cool little artisan herbal soap for all your handwashing needs.
