A Death in Door County by Annelise Ryan
I’ve had this on my Audible wishlist for forever and it was just feature in the 2 for 1 credit sale, so I picked it up. It’s a fun little mystery where a cryptozoologist investigates what appears to be a large animal attack on several boaters.
I’m also finishing up Labyrinth’s Heart at the beginning of this week and will hopefully have a review ready for August 6 or August 8!
I’ve finally admitted to myself that I tried to do the Red Rising re-read much too fast and have burned myself out. I’m going to give myself a little break and will return to Iron Gold in a couple months, though that does delay me getting to Light Bringer. These books get so dark, particularly in this later arc, that I hate to see my favorite characters go through so much trauma again, especially when I know awful things are coming for them!

Ahhh this is the problem with ambitious rereads—they’re ambitious;)

I can totally understand the burn out with Red Rising. Those books are so dark!

I should have really started it earlier this year so I could space them out more. It’s not a big deal though – I’d rather wait amd truly enjoy it!
