Montego by Brian McClellan
I picked up this novella about the beloved character from In the Shadow of Lightning earlier this year and now I’m actually going to make time to read it. It’s only 131 pages, so I’ll make quick work of it and the ratings are great!

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett
I’m tentatively planning to pick this up once I finish Montego, but I might let myself mood read. This is a fantasy-mystery (yay!) with a duo that is described as a Holmes and Watson pairing, which sounds delightful. Also, if I read it early I can decide if I want to pick up any special editions that might come out.

Well, it’s back to work after a truly wonderful week off for the Thanksgiving holiday. I got lots of Christmas shopping done, tried some new recipes, and spent time with family. I also read FOUR books, which has really helped knock some review copies off my reading list. Before you know it Christmas and the end of the year will be here and it’s looking to be my best reading year yet.

Also, guys, I got a tablet holder/stand and a remote control page turner for my Kindle during the sales last week and it’s a game changer. I can now read in bed with only my eyes poking out of the blankets, which makes for the ultimate cozy experience.
