Stacking the Shelves: 12/30/23

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly (or in my case monthly) meme hosted by Reading Reality and it’s all about sharing the books you’ve added to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course audiobooks and ebooks!

Received for Review:

The Briar Book of the Dead by A.G. Slatter
The vampire books are really popping off lately! This one is about a town where witches openly exist and hold back the vampiric Leech Lords from humanity.

Projections by S.E. Porter
This is the adult debut by this well known young adult fantasy author about a woman seeking vengeance against her murderer. I’m intrigued – I assume she’s a ghost?

Bride by Ali Hazelwood
I’d never read Ali Hazelwood until now, but I couldn’t resist a good werewolf/vampire romance. It reminds me of being a teenager again! I’ve already read this and thought it was quite good – a full review will come soon!

The Book that Broke the World by Mark Lawrence
I’ve never clicked download so quickly! The publisher reached out and offered me an eARC and I am SO excited for this sequel!

The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown
I told myself I’d resist the urge to request every book that caught my eye, but I failed. This was irresistible because well… books about books are cool.

A Feather So Black by Lyra Selene
Fae changelings, cursed princesses, menacing love interests… count me in!

Many thanks to Titan Books, Tor Books, Berkley, Ace, William Morrow, and Orbit Books for the eARCs!

My Purchases:

The only items to show off this month are a few lovely editions from The Broken Binding! I received my December 2023 subscription book, which was The Autumn Republic by Brian McClellan. I also received the special editions of Murtagh by Christopher Paolini and The Will of the Many by James Islington! All three are gorgeous – just check out the sprayed edges and the hardcover art!
