The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door by H.G. Parry
Set in a fictional 1920’s England, it has magic, it has faeries, and it has a university setting. There’s nothing about this that I shouldn’t love and I’m looking forward to digging in on my long weekend!
I haven’t been hopping around the blogosphere lately due to a busy personal schedule and a bit of a reading slump. I don’t have a strong urge to pick up a book, but when I make myself I can easily sit for a few hours and read until my eyes get tired. I’m (a month later) finished with We Solve Murders by Richard Osman, which I struggled to be engaged by but didn’t horribly dislike it. Just a bit of a disappointment after how much I loved The Thursday Murder Club. I’m undecided on what audiobook I’ll check out next, but it needs to be a thoroughly addictive one so I’m not languishing over it for a month or more.

Sorry for the reading slump! They are the worst!!!
Are you enjoying your book? I should read it soon, too! 🤞

I’ve been stuck in a very slow book for over a week but I’m finally finishing it today. I’m glad I stuck with it but my next read is going to be lighter I hope. I’m curious about the Scholar and the Last Faerie Door😁

It’s kind of frustrating to feel stuck on a book, even if you are enjoying it especially since us reviewers tend to have such a pile of backlog reads!
