Stacking The Shelves is a weekly (or in my case monthly) meme hosted by Reading Reality and it’s all about sharing the books you’ve added to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course audiobooks and ebooks!
Received for Review:

Grave Empire by Richard Swan
After LOVING the Empire of the Wolf I was dying to get my hands on a copy of Richard Swan’s latest set series set in the same world, but many years later. I’ll definitely be reading this soon!
A Language of Dragons by S.F. Williamson
I don’t pick up YA fantasy regularly, but I couldn’t resist a story about code breaking and dragons set in 1923 England.
A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett
Currently one of my most anticipated sequels of 2025. I loved the weird world of plants both useful and deadly, leviathans, and the duo of Ana and Din.
The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson
Again, there are certain buzzwords or tropes I can’t resist and a murder mystery in a fantasy setting is one of them. It seems like this may also lean heavy into political fantasy, which I also love when done well!
Thanks to Orbit, Harper Collins, and Del Rey for the eARCs!
My Purchases:

I have been restrained in terms of physical book purchases lately and all of the ones I’m featuring are pre-orders I’ve been waiting on to arrive! First up, these GORGEOUS editions of Sun Eater books 1-3 from The Broken Binding. Not pictured are the reverse dust jackets (which look like crumbling bas relief), end paper art, and epic page edge artwork. I’m so excited to get the rest of the series when they become available!
I also received my copy of Wind and Truth, though I’m not sure when I’ll get around to reading it as I haven’t even begun a Stormlight re-read. My long ago pre-ordered Illumicrate edition of The Whispering Night also arrived and it’s lovely – I adore how much foiling the covers for this entire series have!

The Whispering Nigt cover is a beauty!! 😍 This is the first time I heard about A Language of Dragons but it sounds intriguing! I am not the biggest fan of YA eithet, but this one sounds sooo original!!
