op Ten Tuesday is a weekly themed post first created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s theme is a freebie, so I’m going to share some non-fiction books I’ve recently added to my TBR. Many of these are recommendations from @kistreadsbooks on Instagram who just popped up in my algorithm one day. His enthusiasm is contagious and I always enjoyed history classes in school (especially in college), so I decided to check some of them out and now my TBR is growing in a new direction!

- The Northwomen by Heather Pringle
- Greek Fire, Poison Arrows, and Scorpion Bombs by Adrienne Mayor
- SPQR by Mary Beard
- The Faithful Executioner by Joel F. Harrington
- The Plantagenets by Dan Jones

Princesses Behaving Badly was really good so I hope you enjoy it. Also, scorpion bombs sound like they’re right out of a nightmare.

That’s awesome to hear! And yes, scorpion bombs would be a nightmare!! Spiders would probably be worse though…

The Northwomen and Princesses Behaving Badly are also on my nonfiction TBR 🙂
I’m currently (slowly) listening to Dan Jones’s This is History podcast; season 1 is dealing with the Plantagenets 🙂

I just finished Destiny Disrupted, it was really interesting! I’ve read one of Dan Jones’ books. His Templar one sounds really interesting too.

Dan Jones has a really interesting catalog of work! I just read non-fiction quite slowly compared to my usual fiction reads so I don’t get through many of them,.

10 non-fiction books??? I don’t have 10 years worth of non-fiction on my shelves 😉
But seriously, how many years of non-fiction is this for you?
