The Executioners Three by Susan Dennard
In an effort to stay ahead of my looming TBR, I’m picking up another August release because somehow July is more than halfway over already. The Executioners Three is the first in a new YA series following an aspiring teenage sleuth investigating a series of murders and supernatural events happening in her town. I don’t pick up much YA anymore, but I will make an exception for Susan Dennard’s books!
As I type this (on Sunday) I’m still working my way through The Everlasting, which is absolutely amazing! I’m also still listening to the audiobook of This Inevitable Ruin by Matt Dinniman and I can absolutely see why this format gets so much love. The narration is superb and adds a TON to the atmosphere of the story! I’m officially back to work now, so my reading time is definitely taking a hit, especially since I’m also trying to squeeze in a little bit of gaming time around the infinite laundry one does with a baby. I already have a day off scheduled for this Friday to see Alix Harrow speak at a local event and then do a short reading of one of her books while Charles Vess does a live illustration!

I want to read this but also still have read the third book in Dennard’s last trilogy so I should probably do that first …

I’ve not has much time to read this week but I think it’s going to pull of a bit of horror and suspense quite well.

I am hopelessly hooked on Disney Dreamlight Valley. It’s about the only game I can get into conveniently right now since I have it on Switch.
