Though I will likely have to do a series re-read, I am super excited for Dead Beat, the third book in Leigh Bardugo’s Alex Stern series. Darlington, Dawes, and Alex returned from hell in the last book, though none were unscathed, particularly Darlington. This book deals with the aftermath of having opened a door to hell that seemingly didn’t close all the way. Dead Beat sounds like it’s going to be incredible. It’s scheduled to release September 15, 2026 and you better believe I’ll be picking it up ASAP!

Alex Stern made it to hell and back more than once, but this time she left the door open behind her. Demons are creeping through the streets of New Haven and the Yale campus, feeding on the souls of the living, terrifying the dead.
