City of Miracles by Robert Jackson Bennett At long last! Time to visit a new city, this time following Sigrud which I’m pretty excited about. He always seemed like such an intriguing character with lots of secrets, plus it's gonna be a revenge story!! Paper and Fire by Rachel Caine I’m actually going... Continue Reading →
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor My first Laini Taylor book!! I've seen such positive reviews, so I decided to make this my next audiobook. Can't wait to see what the fuss is about, plus the narration sounds great. I'll also be reading The Falconer this week, as I had to change... Continue Reading →
The Falconer by Elizabeth May I got a copy of this from NetGalley a few days ago and I'm just super excited to read this one! This is the first book in trilogy which will be completed in June 2017, so if I like it I'll binge read the next two books in the next... Continue Reading →
Hunted by Meagan Spooner I read a really positive review for this one a couple weeks ago and I was struck by a desire to also read this book. I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER TO READ IT!! Also, the cover is cool and in person it's sort of pearlescent. Hunted is a Beauty and the... Continue Reading →
The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin This book was SO confusing when I first started it that I almost gave up and switched to another. I decided to persevere and push through a few more hours’ worth of listening and things are starting to make more sense! I like it. It’s definitely unusual and as... Continue Reading →
Black City Demon by Richard A. Knaak So far, so good! At this point, roughly 150 pages in, I’m enjoying BCD more than the first book. Tensions are getting ever higher and some friendships/alliances are suspect. Fingers crossed that I’ll have this one read and reviewed in time to post this Sunday! Blood... Continue Reading →
The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon My goal is to finish The Song Rising this week and get my review up on or before the pub date of March 7! I think this installment will make or break the series as there were BIG developments at the end of The Mime Order. Just glancing through... Continue Reading →
Sins of Empire by Brian McClellan This book is magnificent. I've been burning through this book and (as I type this) I have a strong urge to stay up all night and finish it though sadly I cannot. I am in love with this book and if you were a fan of McClellan's Powder Mage... Continue Reading →
The Travelers by Chris Pavone Right now this is the only book I know I'll be reading this week. I'm hoping this jet-setting spy thriller will blow away the dull winter blues, though I've seen mixed reviews, from action packed awesomeness to confusing and uninteresting. I'll also be starting a new audiobook... Continue Reading →
The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco I'm really looking forward to starting The Bone Witch a little later this week. I'm curious to see what all the hype is about... is the cover just nice, or is it actually awesome? I'll also be finishing Twelve Kings in Sharakhai and Tigana this week!
