The Friday Face off is a weekly meme hosted by Books by Proxy and the official rules can be found here. This is a fun way to feature your favorite book covers and show off your favorite edition!
Wee, sleekit, cow’rin, timorous beastie – A cover with a beast or beasts.
This week I’m featuring Toll the Hounds by Steven Erikson.
I always love having a chance to feature books from the Malazan world and this week’s theme has presented a perfect opportunity! The hounds featured on each of the covers above is suitably beast-like and ferocious.
This week’s winner is:

I think this cover is awesome- the hound is circling in for the kill, and while not overtly threatening as in the other covers, it clearly spells trouble for whomever it may be approaching. The other two covers are super cool, but have a bit too much going on for my taste. I think the Bulgarian cover (#3) is more appealing than the very similar cover #1, which seems washed out. Let me know your favorite in the comments below!

😀 His books are abdolutely amazing!!! *fangirling* I’ve only read the first two so far, but awesomeeeeee
