This is my first week back at the Friday Face Off in a VERY long time and the theme is:
‘Desperate affairs require desperate measures’ – a regency style cover
Honestly, I had to google what regency style was and ended up picking a book set in (or around) the regency era, which is from about 1811-1820.
All of these are really cool covers, and while perhaps not exactly regency style the era sort of fits. My favorite of these is this one:
It’s very clean and simple, but has the design I like from the original US cover. Which is your favorite? I’m definitely looking forward to the books other participants pick!

Cool choice and all are really nice covers. I’d have picked the one with the red background and the last cover, with the brown leather style background.
I haven’t got anything planned to post today and still do the face-off on occasion and had thought of doing it this week, alas, the covers I found were god awful and didn’t bother……you are also not the only one who had to Google what a regency cover was!😂😂😂

I have an sfbc omnibus edition of the first 3 books and really like it. It is pretty much the 7th cover here, the “Drak Jeho” one.

I could not for the life of me find a “Regency” type cover I liked enough to feature, and it didn’t even occur to me I could have chosen one set in the Regency Era. Nice pick with Temeraire! I think my favorite is the last one. I love the full painting, which Bookstooge posted above.

It is difficult to pick just one isn’t it – and I did struggle with this week to find a cover (like Mogsy). I like your idea of the book being set in the right period though. I did think of using Frankenstein – but I’ve used it before.
