Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and it’s all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!
Received for Review:

Blood of the Gods by David Mealing
I really liked the first installment, which gave me Brian McClellan vibes and have been looking forward to picking this one up. It’s a 700+ page monster, so I hope it’s good! Thanks to Orbit for the finished copy.
OH MY GOSH IT’S FINALLY HERE. I want to drop everything and binge read the heck out of Bloody Rose and then go have a book hangover!!! If it’s even half as good as Kings of the Wyld it will be a great book but I’m expecting more than that. Thanks to Orbit for the finished copy.
It’s the haul of the sequels at the moment – this is another book I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of since last year and I expect great things from it as well. Many thanks to Ace for the finished copy.
Shadowblack by Sebastien de Castell
I DEVOURED the first book in this series on Thursday and I’m glad I already have this one on hand. Thanks to Orbit for the finished copy.
Vita Nostra by Marina & Sergey Dyachenko
I was very excited to get approved for a copy of this one. This sounds like a wonderfully dark, unusual book that’s described as being reminiscent of The Magicians by Lev Grossman and The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. It’s got a sinister man, strange coins, and a school that seems to blend science and magic. Thanks to Harper Voyager for the eGalley.
Stolen Time by Danielle Rollins
This book just sounds really intriguing. It sounds like a time travel book in which someone from the past and future meet. Early reviews are looking positive, so hopefully I’ll like it just as much! Thanks to HarperTeen for the eGalley.
My Purchases:

The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro
My only purchase in the last two weeks was another audiobook, which I actually finished up on Friday. I should have a review up in a few weeks!

Bloody Rose!!! And Shadowblack!!! I just got a surprise finished copy of Bloody Rose which I hope to devour soon (I hear it’s better than the first book!) And I just requested Shadowblack after loving Spellslinger😊

Vita Nostra sounds super interesting! I will put it on my list as well.
And you got McClellan vibes from the Mealing novel? That sounds very cool!
Ooooh and BLOODY ROSE GET HYPE 😀

So many good books!!! The Mealing book is set in a comparable time-period to the Powder Mage books, so there’s similar tech.

I’m right there with you with Bloody Rose. I got my copy and literally panicked, I am so stoked for this book, but I know that once I read it, the books following are going to pale in comparison (and I’m trying to get semi-caught up on everything) so it’s the greatest example of willpower that I haven’t dropped off the face of the planet with only Bloody Rose to accompany me.
Also, I adored Spellslinger, too!! I’m stoked to start reading Shadowblack, as I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the first book as much as I did. Great post!
