All the goodies!

First up, the main book of the month was The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones, which I’ve had my eye on. It’s also perfectly themed for the upcoming season of spookiness, since the main character is a gravedigger and there are corpses that come back to life. This is a signed edition unique to OwlCrate, having a white background and black lettering whereas the standard cover is black with white lettering. A cool bookmark and picture were also included.

The first goodies were a cool art print designed by Anne Lambelet with a quote from Ray Bradbury that says “Beware the Autumn People”, an exclusive OwlCrate collectible pin designed by Lapels and Spells, and a ceramic tray with a quote from Mary Shelley designed by Stella Bookish Art . I absolutely love the little tray and will definitely be using it for my jewelry.

This box was extra special and included a second book! Everyone received a paperback copy (exclusive to OwlCrate) of The Haunting of Hill House, just in time to read for Halloween! This picture is actually a perfect trifecta of seasonal items – we’ve got skelly arm warmers (with thumbholes!) and a special edition pouch of coffee from Bones Coffee Company. I can’t wait to sit down and have a cozy Saturday read-a-thon!

Lastly, each OwlCrate box comes with a themed post card with a detailed list of all the goodies you’ve received in your monthly box! A fun bonus book preview for The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh was also included in this month’s box – I understand bonuses like this are included from time to time, which is pretty cool.
