The Ninth Rain by Jen Williams
It is Tiiiiime! This is a series I’ve had on hand for over a year now, but I’m finally carving out some time for it. Time to put those pretty hardcovers from The Broken Binding to good use!
The Malevolent Seven by Sebastien de Castell
I had no idea I would love this book as much as I am right now. The audiobook is fantastic and really highlights the humor and the darkness of this book.
Last week was actually very productive in terms of reading, which is awesome as I was getting low on review content! This is also a bit shocking since I started a kickboxing class that’s three days per week, which takes away from reading time, but it’s fun and it’s a great workout (way better than running or walking on the treadmill). I also picked up Baldur’s Gate 3, and, though I’ve only had time to play for a few hours I think it’s going to be cool! It’s my first D&D style game, so the learning curve has been a bit steep, especially in terms of character build. I’m playing a wood elf ranger because not only is it cool (you can summon animals to help fight!) but it’s supposed to be an easier class for beginners to learn.

I haven’t read Ninth Rain either, so I’m curious to see what you think!
