An Inheritance of Magic by Benedict Jacka
I do love a good urban fantasy and Benedict Jacka is a new to me author, so I’m really looking forward to digging into this. I have secret hopes the cat on the cover will play a large role.
Saevus Corax Deals with the Dead by K.J. Parker
K.J. Parker’s humor really worked for me in his last series I read, and I’m hoping that Saevus Corax will prove to be a shady, but perhaps amusing main character. I really appreciate that all three of the Saevus Corax books are coming out in a span of three months!
I always hope October will be a great reading month, since it’s usually chock full of awesome book releases but it’s also a really busy month – multiple birthdays, an anniversary, another impending work trip, on top of all the usual stuff. I have GOALS and I hope to meet them, but I also want to enjoy the books I’m reading so I might be a little tougher with DNF’s this month.

I wanted to read An Inheritance of Magic so badly, but I had to turn it down because I already had so many October books. I can’t wait for your review!

I’ve read Benedict Jacka before and really enjoyed his stories and writing style so I did look at this with longing but because my reading has fallen so far behind this year I’m being very good. I hope you love it and look forward to your reviews – maybe then I can give myself a good kicking for not requesting a copy – but, hey ho. i need to backtrack first.
Enjoy.
Lynn 😀
