This is another exciting standalone from Gareth Brown, who wrote The Book of Doors – one of my favorite books from 2024. This time the focus is on magical artifacts rather than books, but it sounds quite similar in it’s overall theme and tone. I’m looking forward to seeing if Brown can pull off another brilliant story in The Society of Unknowable Objects. This is slated release August 12, 2025.

The scenario does sound very similar to The Book of Doors. I hope that there are enough differences to make it original.
