Stacking the Shelves: 6/26/21

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly (or in my case monthly) meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and it’s all about sharing the books you’ve added to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks!

Received for Review:

The Maleficent Seven by Cameron Johnston
This is/was one of my most anticipated releases for 2021 and it’s my current read! It’s taken a bit longer than expected to finish because I got a little distracted earlier in the week and ended up re-reading another book. This has such a fun concept! Thanks to Angry Robot Books for the eARC.

The Free Bastards by Jonathan French
I unexpectedly loved the second book in the series and decided I needed to finish it up. If you need more orcs, half-orcs, battle hogs, and gore this might be the book for you! Thanks to Del Rey Books for the eARC.

The Splinter King by Mike Brooks
I am THRILLED that this sequel is coming out so soon! The Black Coast was yet another book I unexpectedly loved and I am truly delighted to check this out and see where things go. Many thanks to Solaris for the eARC!

The Godstone by Violette Malan
This is the start of a new epic fantasy series with A TON of stuff going on in just the synopsis. There’s not much info out there yet – only two five star ratings on Goodreads! Thanks to DAW for the eARC.

My Purchases:

I actually purchased an eBook this month! I was in the mood for dramatic fantasy-romance, so I decided to pick up A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova. As per usual, I have a few new audiobooks in my collection. The Blacktongue Thief was a fantastic read, When Jackals Storm the Walls was pretty good, and Clockwork Boys was super fun, if a little on the short side!
