I’m back and have been doing lots of reading the last couple weeks while away from the blog. I listened to Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher and was thoroughly grossed out. I also started and finished Rites of the Starling this past week and absolutely flew through it! It was a solid sequel, though it focused more on world building and setting up for what I’m expecting will be the third and final book.
I’m still working my way through two chunky reads – A Parade of Horribles by Matt Dinniman and The Ink Black Heart by Robert Galbraith.
It’s been nice to step away from the blog for a couple weeks, especially since life has been busy! We celebrated my daughter’s first birthday, enjoyed some lovely spring weather, and I’ve been squeezing in both reading and gaming time wherever I can. My husband and I also went to watch Project Hail Mary last weekend and it was a great adaptation (from what I can recall of the book) and it made me tear up several times.

Happy birthday to your daughter! I still haven’t made it to Project Hail Mary but will at some point😁

Happy birthday to your daughter! I’ve held off on reading Wolf Worm, even though I usually love T. Kingfisher, because I think it’ll be just too gross for me. 🙂

I made my husband take me on a date night to the movies the weekend Project Hail Mary came out. It was soooo good!
