Shards of the Earth by Adrian Tchaikovsky
I’ve been looking forward to getting a copy of this for months! Now that I’ve got my copy in hand, I can start reading (yay for physical books!). It has great early reviews and it’s Adrian Tchaikovsky, so I really don’t think this could go wrong.
While my enthusiasm for read has stayed steady, I’ve really been slacking off on reviews again. My husband and I picked up FFXIV in anticipation of the hyped Endwalker release in November so we’ve been leveling characters and enjoying the story. It’s such a welcoming community compared to WoW!

I can’t believe you! Playing FF and slacking off reviews! I’VE been playing indie games while avoiding reviews, like a normal person 😂
Am excited to see how you like Shards of Earth (because I’m also slacking off on starting it)

Oh ummmm okay! City builder: Islanders. Story/RPG: Disco Elysium. This War of Mine has an interesting take on a party management/survival game set in a wartorn city. The Long Dark is my favorite survival game where there’s just you and nature. And then Fez for everything else because Fez is amazing!

I’ve really been enjoying one called Spiritfarer, which is a little bit like Stardew Valley, but you ferry spirits of the dead. I like chill games 😀
