Scarlet is a re-telling of The Scarlet Pimpernel (which I had to Google) set during the French Revolution. But. The French aristocrats are VAMPIRES! YES! That alone totally sold me on this, but I also weirdly like the cover that looks like an old painting with strategically placed bit marks. Scarlet will be released May 9, 2023 and you better believe this is on my TBR!
