Stacking The Shelves is a weekly (or in my case monthly) meme hosted by Reading Reality and it’s all about sharing the books you’ve added to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course audiobooks and ebooks!
Received for Review:
I received a larger than usual pile of physical books this month! I received finished copies of An Education in Malice, The Trials of Empire, and A Flame in the North. I ARCs of Remedial Magic (signed!!) and The Briar Book of the Dead.

Dreadful by Caitlin Rozakis
I was lucky enough to snag a NetGalley approval right before by recent Can’t Wait Wednesday post went up. This is a humorous fantasy following a Dread Lord who has lost his memories.
The Hemlock Queen by Hannah Whitten
This is the highly anticipated sequel to The Foxglove King, which I loved! I have my fingers crossed for more Versailles, but with necromancy vibes.
Empire of Shadows by Jacquelyn Benson
Total cover request. I also couldn’t resist something that sounded like Indiana Jones crossed with The Mummy that also has a potential romantic subplot.
Many thanks to Redhook, Orbit, Melissa Marr, Titan Books, and Crimson Fox Publishing for the ARCs!
My Purchases:
Just two bookish purchases in the last month, but they are quite spectacular! The Broken Binding’s February book, Shackled Fates has arrived and looks just as beautiful as the first book in the trilogy did. I also received the stunning FairyLoot edition of A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen! The Viking theme is strong this month!

Lovely stack😁 I have The Briar Book of the Dead and I need to start it soon. A Fate Inked in Blood is stunning!😍

What a nice haul!! I haven’t been requesting much on NG lately (have been sticking mainly to the Orbit reviewer letter), but I made an exception for DREADFUL because it looks like fun! I’m thankful they approved my request…who isn’t intrigued by a moat squid?!

I loved Briar Book of the Dead and I also have the Foxglove King – which I’m hoping to get to as one of my backlist books this year.
Happy reading.
Lynn 😀
