I needed something fun to read while traveling, so I decided to pick up this fantasy romance! It follows two rival ornithologists (of magical birds!) as they search for a rare bird that comes with a coveted prize.
I was traveling over the holiday weekend and didn’t get much reading done. My husband and I went to Washington DC to watch the fireworks, explore the Smithsonian museums, and watch a baseball game. I have literally never sweat so much in my life – it was 98 degrees with high humidity and while I’ve spent many a summer vacation in Maryland this was next level heat 😬

It was fun! But yeah, I will never voluntarily go back to DC in the summer – the weather app said it was 98 but felt like 110!
