Stacking The Shelves is a weekly (or in my case monthly) meme hosted by Reading Reality and it’s all about sharing the books you’ve added to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. You can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course audiobooks and ebooks!
Received for Review:

The Last Vigilant by Mark A. Latham
This is a chunky epic fantasy I’ve had my eye on and a rather battered package from Orbit showed up on my doorstep earlier this week! No idea what the UPS folks are doing to my books lately, but it surprisingly arrived undamaged.
Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross
I didn’t need to know anything beyond the fact that Rebecca Ross wrote this. That it is also set in the same world as Divine Rivals only helped to sell it to me!
The Eye of the Bedlam Bride by Matt Dinniman
More unhinged LitRPG action! I’m not even reading the synopsis for this until I finish up The Butcher’s Masquerade since I don’t want any spoilers.
The Red Winter by Cameron Sullivan
This is a very new to me book that doesn’t have a cover available yet since it’s not coming out until February 2026. It is, however, about a werewolf ravaging the French countryside in 1785 and I can’t wait to see if I love it!
Thanks to Orbit, Saturday Books, Ace, and Tor Books for the ARCs!
My Purchases:

I haven’t had many physical book purchases lately since I unsubscribed from Fairyloot and skipped the last subscription pick from The Broken Binding, but I’m back with a vengeance! I pre-ordered Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales from Fairyloot to round out my collection. I also pre-ordered Grave Empire from The Broken Binding because this edition is STUNNING and the Orbit US decided they weren’t doing hardcovers of this series (bummer). The Rook & Rose trilogy are the February – April subscription books from The Broken Binding and I really love the new cover art. Also, check out all those gorgeous hardcovers!!! There’s some seriously stunning endpaper art and sprayed edges too, but I kind of hate photographing those so I stopped.

The Red Winter is new to me, I’ve added it to my TBR and I can’t wait!

February 2026?? That is one advance advance-copy!
All my Orbit copies have been vanishing in transit of late, and I’m not sure who to blame 😑

I had a copy of Grave Empire show up just recently that had been lost in transit since January! I had forgotten I had even requested it. Wonder what their problem is 🤔

Dunno, weird, innit? Btw have you gotten any of their audiobook arcs? I’ve never requested any until this last time, and I don’t know how they… fulfill?

I have before, but it’s been so long I don’t quite remember how it worked. I don’t remember it being super difficult or anything.
