Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Wishes

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly themed post first created by The Broke and the Bookish in 2010 and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s theme is Bookish Wishes and gives me an opportunity to publicly pine for some really, really lovely books. Also, it’s not quite a top 10 this week, but rather a top 8!

Even though I already have two special editions of the Red Rising series, the latest deluxe slipcase version is far too lovely to pass up. I’ll definitely be purchasing this one for my collection!

The War of Lost Hearts series is another that I would love to have physical copies of on my shelf. I waited too long and wasn’t able to get a copy of the indie edition (left) so I may have to settle for the new version (right) from Bramble when it comes out later this year.

Now this is a dream that will never happen – the Subterranean Press editions of the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. These are beautiful hardcovers that come in at $200+ EACH. Good thing The Broken Binding is releasing their own hardcover versions!

This special edition of Blood Over Bright Haven from Wraithmarked  is also super lovely. The Kickstarter for it recently ended, but it looks like you can still back the project late (albeit without the discount). Wraithmarked has done several other particularly spectacular looking special editions that come in around $110 each – pricey but not as much as others.

The Fairyloot editions of Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows are definitely on my wishlist as well, though unless I can find them for a steal on ebay or Pango, they won’t be gracing my shelves.

I couldn’t find a proper picture of the cover for the Curious King special edition of The Blade itself, but just check out their website! It’s got the coolest cover art but the number produced was super limited.

This is actually a set of alternate covers I would love to have for the ACOTAR series from Bluelyboo. The color scheme and design is lovely and having previously purchased from this artist, I can also attest to the quality.

Grim Oak Press has several beautiful editions of The Name of the Wind, but my favorite by far is the full color edition with interior art by Marc Simonetti. stunning.
