I feel like the witchy, dark academia, romantasy books are at their peak popularity and despite the overwhelming number of them, I remain enthused. An Arcane Study of Stars caught my eye with all the black and gold designs (and the ever popular clip-art snake) and then the synopsis, which promises mystery and romance. The real question is whether or not it will deliver on these promises. I’m hopeful for an interesting school setting that isn’t glossed over in favor of romantic trysts. An Arcane Study of Stars will be released April 28, 2026.
