It’s been a slow reading week and my brain has been tired. I’m finishing up the last few pages of The Will of the Many after I type this up and then I can finally start The Strength of the Few. I’m still far from finished Shadows Upon Time, with just under 20 hours left in the audiobook.
I have been doing some more Christmas baking this week though! I made Peanut Butter Blossoms (from Preppy Kitchen) but instead of Hershey Kisses I got Reese thins to put on top. Highly Recommend. I also made Toffee Pretzel Chocolate Chip cookies and I used the base for the Sally’s Baking Addiction Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies with my own mix of add-ins. They turned out great as well. PS, I am not baking and eating all of these all at once – I make a few to taste test and have been freezing the dough balls to bake for either work or family Christmas functions.

Your cookies sound so good. I’m trying a Christmas Crack recipe, probably today😁

Oooo, I haven’t made Christmas crack before! Is that with a cracker base, caramel, and chocolate?

Yes, you make a toffee with a saltine cracker base and cut it up into pieces and add it to the dough. It sounds like a lot of work, lol, but so good!

Mmm, I love having frozen cookie dough ready in the freezer – the problem is I’m quite easily tempted to cook up a batch so inevitably it never lasts as long as it should.
