I finished up the last two Emma M. Lion books this week and am eagerly awaiting news of Volume 9, which is supposed to release sometime this year. This series has been such a joy! I’ll be putting together a series review of Volumes 1- 8 in the next couple weeks, so keep an eye out if you’re curious. I picked up The Castle & the Cloister by Laura Weymouth next and I’m not far enough in for a decent opinion yet. I’m intrigued, though not in love with it yet. I’m also still slowly working my way through a re-read of Ninth House, but my physical books have taken priority lately.
Would you believe that I only have THREE books on my NetGalley shelf right now? This is the fewest I’ve had in years! I’m trying to be very selective about my choices and mostly stay away to give myself the freedom to read what I want, when I want, without the feeling of a deadline hanging over my head. I’d like to slow down and read books purely on whim. Or binge a particular theme for two weeks. Anyway, happy reading ya’ll!

I have FOUR books on my NetGalley shelf. So while I’m thrilled to hear you say you’re being selective and trying to give yourself freedom to read what you want, I have to ask: are you okay? Do you need a hug? Would you like more suggestions of things you absolutely NEED?

No more suggestions!!! 🤣 I’m trying to be a reading free spirit, untainted by the suggestions of others! And now when I do get a book from Netgalley I can read it right away while I’m excited to have it.
