By the time this post goes live I will have finished up Snake-Eater, which has been a strange and fun read with a nice change of scenery for T. Kingfisher. I also decided to pick up Brimstone while I had a little extra time to read this week and while I definitely have some criticisms (small things at the moment) it’s such a fun book. I also started the audiobook of Shadows Upon Time which is the last book in the Sun Eater series and it’s likely going to take me several weeks to finish this. I have 31 hours left!
I took the entire week of Thanksgiving off and really enjoyed just chilling around the house, visiting family, and eating some delicious food! I tried out a recipe for pumpkin basque-style cheesecake and it turned out beautifully, despite me frantically googling internal temperatures and exactly how much jiggle it was supposed to have. Topped it off with a honey-orange whipped cream *chef’s kiss*. Hope everyone who celebrated also had a great Turkey Day!

I seem to have a few Kingfisher books waiting for me to dive into including Snake Eater. I’m really enjoying her books.
That basque cheesecake sounds delicious.
